The National Mall really is like a giant yard. On weekends, people swarm out to use the space for all kinds of games. Kickball is a favorite. I've also seen Frisbee, boccie, softball, and cricket. Afterwards, nearby bars are filled with beer-drunk yuppies in matching jerseys.
